Not OP - I feel like Timothee Chalomet is the perfect actor to use as a second example, because, for me, I think there's a similar issue at play with both him and Zendaya, which really isn't a lack of versatility as actors, so much as that they both just utterly embody the current pop cultural zeitgeist. They're skilled actors, but it's really their energy and vibe that everyone is so obsessed with. They have 'It.' They have so much 'It' it's hard to see past, and that isn't something they can shed for a role.
