I get where you're coming from, but people deserve nice things. When I was unemployed I didn't begrudge my friends from buying new (expensive) stuff. Hell, I occasionally treated myself to something nice. You're not a billionaire buying his 37th yacht, profiting from underpaid workers. You're a normal person having fun. Enjoy yourself! It sounds like a great project!

Presumably OP didn't just magically inherit a bunch of wealth and is frittering it away on nonsense. OP, you worked for the money, right? One of the great things about being an adult is that you CAN buy frivolous things sometimes when the necessities are taken care of, and use the money you've earned for stuff that makes you happy, even if others might think it's silly.
