AYRT - blonde hair is so uke was hyperbole on my part, but yeah, read more than once “he has delicate features” when it’s just light hair or “he looks exotic” and it’s just dark skin.

Recently they seem to have acknowledged that there is a huge European market for manga and things have gotten less “foreign” in that sense compared to the 90s for instance, but no less when it comes to, say, Latin America or Africa or the Middle East in my experience.
