The SGA fandom and the David Hewlett's fandom were my first fandoms (I was already reading HP and other fics, but I wouldn't say I really was in the fandom. The SGA fandom made me fall in love with fanvids.) so I have a very soft spot for this pairing (and for McBeckett, which I actually loved even more). The show was so and so to be honest, but the fandom (with still a few annoying parts like the occasional ship "war") and the fanwork were all top-notch, imho. I'll add that the French speaking fanforum dedicated to David Hewlett I was in at that time was marveleous and hilarious. I miss it.
