Wait, does it show up differently if someone anonymously bookmarked something? I posted an anon fic then chickened out and deleted it a week later, and I didn't feel bad deleting it because I thought it had no bookmarks, but if you can only see anon bookmarks via another page, then I feel a little bad for not checking. (It only had 28 hits though, so surely it's unlikely.)

Bookmarks can be set to Private or Public. If you look at a general fic, the Private bookmarks won't show, not even in the numbers.

However, if you go to your personal Statistics page (you can find it on the left of your Author's page in the usual AO3 format) you'll get a rundown of Hits, Kudos, Subscribers, and Bookmarks - the full count. (It won't tell you who they are, but you will see how many.)
