Given British demographics, there really ought to be some South Asian cast members. There are twice as many people from the Indian Subcontinental region living in the UK than there are black people. And more or less the same number of East Asians as that too. I don't know why the Beeb prioritized hiring a black doctor over an Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi one.
