Could be. Some decades are just better for Style.

I mean, this was before cars kind of became mass marketized in terms of style. Now everyone needs a car and you gotta churn them out as fast as possible. Style is now on the backburner.

IDK there were very, very much mass-marketed non-stylized cars during the 80s. Look at the entire Japanese small car segment, for instance, or the American cars that were trying to imitate them - a Nissan Sentra or Chevy Chevette isn't really a handsome car, because the whole point was to be cheap and functional.

Ferrari's more so an exception bc they're Ferrari, their whole thing is making gorgeous cars for people to spend ungodly amounts of money on.

I don't mind the 90s Ferrari (I think it's because I had a little toy Ferrari car from the 90s complete with X-Men cartoon Jubilee level of color on it). But over all, OP...

I just find Ferraris to be visually overrated. Much like Lamborghinis and their ilk.

almost every car on miami vice i love, but...otherwise no to the 80s. for some reason the style and coloring is so...2-d drawing? like an architect designed the cars. which is weird because the rest of the 80s is a crayola box. idk

I am by no means a car enthusiast and know very little about Ferraris but in general the look of one just... goes more with that decade? Does that make sense?

Seconding every word of this comment!

I love a 70s/80s wedge car, especially in sci-fi settings. Despite looking very dated they still feel like The Future!™ to me.
