Do you feel that maybe posting it with your not preferred ending and later coming back to do a rewrite of the end would take some of the pressure/frustration off? Maybe allow you to eventually come up with an ending you actually like?

I ask as someone who's read fic where the authors sometimes go back and re write a chapter (or five) a fair amount of time later because they were finally able to come up with something that really fit (even if it was months or weeks or years later). As a reader it's only bothered me if I didn't save a previous version, but overall, I've tended to not mind and enjoy the revision. As a writer, I get wanting to out something out there that's...good, that I'm pleased it carries my name? That I'm satisfied with, so I get the hesitation.

I prefer the ending, I'm just having a hell of a time not making it sound like garbage. I'd also prefer not to have to go back to it - again, I realize that's my problem and it's partly due to the fear of getting stuck with one more WIP.
