Yeah it does. "Pro-ship" is literally anyone who's not "anti-ship." If you are against (i.e., "anti") people shipping certain characters because you believe that the people who ship the wrong thing are evil and bad, then you are anti-ship. Otherwise, you are for (i.e., "pro") such things. Doesn't matter if you, personally, ship the naughty bad things. If you think that other people should be allowed to ship what they want, you are pro-ship.

Fun (read: infuriating) linguistic fact! Antis define "proshipper" as both "anyone who's not anti" and "literal actual pedophiles", and then act like this means those two completely orthogonal traits are the same trait!

Antis define proshipper as "problematic shipper" which is straight up the dumbest shit.

AYRT

I appreciate your explaining the rationale, but I disagree.

Going along with the claim that someone is "pro-ship" just because they're not an aggressive wanker who shames writers and artists gives antis undue power. Power to define themselves and everyone else, and keep changing what they say the words mean, just as the people who responded before me pointed out.

I'm in favor of people feeling like they've got the right to live and dream and play in fandom without having to ask anyone's permission for it. I've defended other fans when they were being mobbed for trivial reasons and accused of immorality. But the bottom line of that has nothing to do with "shipping."
