...and that is literally the first time i've seen anybody alleging transphobia in the books themselves (as distinct from most of the accusations of transphobia stemming from things jk would later say in the media)

People have been bringing that one up since Rita Skeeter became a recurring character, but it's not specifically a transphobia accusation. It's a good old fashioned sexism accusation. The point is that that the jump from that to what we've got now isn't really that much of a stretch since it's all based on the correct way to be a woman according to Jo.
