I try to be. :/ I just wish I knew what she actually WANTED, whether she'd rather be left to go back to her own humans, or if she can't and therefore this is better.

I guess I will see what I find in the morning now that she's in my basement with food and water. And if she makes it, make a call to the vet and see if they can fit her in. (This is very much how my ex and I acquired one of our past cats, who moved back to Massachusetts with them when they left and as far as I know is still doing okay. Except in Gracie's case, she was actively trying to get in our back door, so we opened it for her.)
