I hate it when people talk about The Authority and edgelord stuff, because while that's absolutely true in the Millar era, it wasn't like that before or afterwards. Unfortunately, the movie and TV industries constantly want to crawl up Millar's bum, so that's probably the version we'd get.

I heard Lavender Haze on the radio right after coming out of the grocery store and it put the biggest grin on my face. My local pop station is usually very limited in how many songs it plays, so it was a big thrill.

Sadly I haven't heard Maroon while out and about (It's my fave of the core Midnights tracks), but I've definitely heard the other two at least a couple times and it's always nice. Nothing can make up for not getting Cruel Summer as a single, but honestly at this point it's sort of fun to just have "Cruel Summer should've been a single!!" as an eternal lament. XD

I see posts nowadays that say there is no possible way to give crit that won't scare would-be fic authors into never writing again. This might be right, but I still find it frustrating. Taking apart what works and what doesn't is a big part of how I interact with fiction to begin with.

Ugh, and the FORMATTING. Like, I am 100% more likely to back button out of a fic if it's a smooshed mess with no paragraphs/line breaks, new line when a new person speaks etc, than I am if it's just a few typos or whatever.
