AYRT. Sorry. I'm white and American, and "You sound white. And American." is an FS meme. It gets posted in reply to comments and secrets that have little to nothing to do with white Americans. The question asked by the OP is, for once, one of the quintessential things that white Americans do (talk about where our ancestors came from and call ourselves that too) and we joke about our tendency to do it.
