I was today days old when I found out that the creator of Star Blazers died ten days ago.

I feel like a part of my childhood went away with him.

RIP Matsumoto sensei, you will be sorely missed.

I loved the corn chip smell of my dog's paws. I used to sniff them and I loved that her fur used to cover her paws like a Clydesdale horse's hair covered their hooves. She was a cute Jack Russel mix. So cute and wire haired. Now I only ever want a terrier, if I have the choice. Spunky smart dogs.

Hi, I'm the stray cat anon from a couple months back, and things are going great with him! And I gotta tell you, for being such a big scary tough guy stray, he is THE biggest cuddle bug ever. He looooooves snuggling and being being held, being brushed, and he even warmed up to my dog licking him, lol. He's also very communicative, he will meow at me and lead me to what he wants: food or water dish, back door, catnip stash, treat jar xD. He does the bunting thing a lot too. I love him so much!

Fat Cat Jack loves nothing more than being on my desk as I sit here reading/writing/whatever. He likes to meander around in circles, put his paws on me, rub on the monitor, and investigate my water glass.
I have to tell him 'lay down and I'll pet you', and then he'll flop down and chill, and I'll pet him, heh.

Currently, he's in the form of a sun-basking seal, purring like mad.

I don't have any pets, but I currently have a mouse living in my apartment. It is just one mouse at the moment, but I can't catch the fucking thing. It seems to know to avoid literally every kind of trap.

Sorry, this is not very uplifting at all, but if you DON'T have a mouse in your house that you can't get rid of, then maybe you can use that as a silver-lining type deal? (I'm sorry you're having a shitty day, I hope things get better soon.)

I don't think so, but if you consider aliens "supernatural" then yes. And by aliens I mean intelligent life on other planets, not UFOs that came to Earth and are hiding among us/helped build the pyramids/are being kept secret by the government.

Hrmmmmmmmmmm.... Not really? I do believe that things create energies; events, people, etc. I do think that some places where really big/bad/good things have happened can hold onto that energy, and if you go there, you can feel it, or the echo of it.

I don't actually believe in supernatural things (particularly things connected to religion, like demons and stuff), but can creepy myself out if I watch the wrong thing.

No, but reading about people who do believe in that stuff is occasionally entertaining.

Except for space aliens. I personally would love it if somebody out in space could send us a few radio beeps now and then across the light years.

Aliens, I guess, insofar as I believe there's probably life on other planets in the universe and some is probably at least as intelligent as we are.

I don't think they're new-age interdimensional beings that built the pyramids and/or abduct people or mutilate cattle or whatever.

I wouldn't be surprised if none of them know we're here and we never find any of them while our species still exists, because we can't even really understand how big the universe is.

I consider myself atheist, but the one thing that still stuck around from my believer days was the chance that being able to predict the future is a thing. I'm not really a believer in it, but sometimes the urge to believe is there.

I struggle with the idea of ghosts. A large portion of me believes they're not real and a lot of times it's just coincidences/person's mind getting a bit creative. But I still have a part of me thinking, "Yeah but you can't prove it's not real."
Spirits and the afterworld is a big thing in my family's culture so I know a lot of it is my upbringing and the people around me being very superstitious.

I'm a physicist, so it's deeply ironic that I can't say a categoric no. Too much weird stuff has happened to me to say no, and although I am ruthless in my examination and dismissal of anything that has any other possible explanation- I'm still left with a handful of things I can't explain away.

The predominant one being, I have always known when I was going to die. There was a big blank patch for me in my perception of the future in 2016. And in 2016 I did indeed die, several times on an operating table after an accident. Since then i still have this sense of the future - a feeling almost like hearing part of a piece of music and knowing how the rest of it will sound. I don't look ahead anymore though because I'm too bloody scared to.

When complaining about things gives you energy

I just went to a screening of a short documentary film at the local college. And it was SO BAD.

Poorly filmed, poorly edited, poorly spoken about. No focus, no substantive points, no in-depth anything. The Q&A was awful. The speaker couldn’t answer most of the questions, which made it seem like they hadn’t done any background research at all. Plus, they clearly only wanted to call on the adults and mostly ignored the students.

I spent the whole 20 min walk/ride home complaining with my roommate. (He convinced me to go with him.)

But I’m not mad.

It felt great. I’ve been depressed and uninterested in things and my brain kind of woke up for a moment to catalogue and analyze all of the mistakes that were made.

I am in just the absolute blackest, most dissatisfied, awful, frustrating, terrible mood and it feels like there is absolutely no force in the universe that can make it even slightly more tolerable

I guess I don't even have a point here except that I hate it, and I hate everything
