mte. I’ve even heard it from fans of GoT. I love grimdark fantasy if I can balance it out with happybright fantasy. I don’t know what OP means but there’s no denying that there has been a lot more grimdark the last ten years than happybright. And most of the happybright has not been of the same quality as the grimdark. The grimdark stuff gets massive budgets and A list stars (even though less than half of it is any good) and the happybright stuff is barely funded.
