...Well there's the eternal one (Sydney/Hardin from Vagrant Story, for anyone who missed it last million times).

And in Tiger & Bunny, I talked myself into Yuri/Keith via writing a fanfic prompt 11 years ago, and that fondness only got stronger over time... it wasn't terribly rare for awhile, it was actually one of the more popular non-main pairings even though it's kind of cracky if you haven't read the manga. The contrast between Yuri's cynicism and Keith's sunshiny golden retriever energy would have been interesting enough just as a concept, but in the manga chapter where they meet out of costume and spend the day together, you get to see Keith's faith in humanity just completely dismantle Yuri's cynicism, to the point where even as he's grumbling about Keith's naivete, he's helping him save people instead of letting criminals get "what they deserve". And thinking about his words days later. <3

With so much time after season 1, people were branching out into somewhat unpredictable ships, and that was one of them! But then season 2 came out and everyone else who was writing it seems to have stopped writing it in favor of other things and so I'm back to only getting new content if I write it. And ... there's not much to re-read either, since even though it was a semi-well-known ship, it's not exactly a big fandom. -_-
