I have a fic outline like that, but not at all like that.

While on a routine mission, the crew of the USS Enterprise encounters a strange planet that appears to be populated by a highly advanced civilization. However, upon closer inspection, they discover that the inhabitants are actually holographic projections created by an eccentric scientist named Dr. Nathan Fielder.

As they investigate further, the crew discovers that Fielder has been stranded on the planet for years, experimenting with his holographic technology to create a perfect world. But when the Enterprise crew offers to help Fielder return to civilization, he refuses, insisting that his holographic world is the only place where he can truly be happy.

As the crew struggles to convince Fielder to leave, they begin to experience strange phenomena on the planet, including time loops and alternate realities. It soon becomes clear that Fielder's holographic world has created a paradox that threatens the very fabric of space-time.

In the end, the crew must work together to unravel the paradox and save the universe from destruction. Along the way, they learn valuable lessons about the dangers of pursuing perfection at the expense of reality, and the importance of living in the present moment.
