(Anonymous) 2023-02-26 06:43 am (UTC)(link)For sure. Though his worldbuilding doesn't read as that blatantly Christian to me in a lot of ways - he was subtler than Lewis anyway, which is admittedly a very low bar.
I think because Christianity is so overwhelmingly prevalent in Western culture, a lot of writers who aren't Christian still work with the themes and imagery, sometimes to subvert and satirize them. Philip Pullman is an agnostic, Terry Pratchett was an atheist/humanist, Neil Gaiman is Jewish for example.
