yeah I'm going to agree with above anons, the stated reason isn't the social reason. this happens a lot (like the current discourse on whether jon stewart should even interview republicans because it doesn't do anything), and usually if something isn't implemented in an effective way or in a way in line with social practice...that's not what its for.
