I once saw someone posit that Alexander has less impact on Worf than Spot has on Data and I'm very sad for that little boy. He deserves to be best friends with the cat and be adopted by every other crew member.

For a sizeable portion of Worf's tenure on DS9 it was entirely possible to hypothesise that he'd accidentally forgot Alexander back on the wreck of Enterprise-D. We saw Data rescue Spot, but not a peep about Alexander. And then Worf just shows up in Way of the Warrior Alexanderless...
