You're not boring or uptight for liking the ships you like OP, you've just got a preference and there's nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with your friend liking their hero/villain ships either because taste is taste.

I can't speak for your relationship with her because I don't know you or her, but unless you're bringing up your reasons for not liking A/C completely unprompted I think it's rather rude of her to be calling you boring or uptight because you don't like what she likes tbh.

Thanks. And yeah, the only thing I've said to her is that I prefer A/B. What I said in the secret was partly me organizing my thoughts about why I prefer them, but I've never said those things to her. I've tried to be pretty live and let live when we've disagreed about ships (because even if I don't personally see the appeal of a ship, I'm not going to tell someone else not to ship it) so it bothers me that she's acting this way.

Well, your friend is rude.

I have shipped the two heroes, the hero and the slightly antagonistic team member, the hero and the villain, whatever. Sometimes a ship speaks to you and has the kind of chemistry you like, and sometimes the people are just hot, lol.

Judging ships is ridiculous.

If you’re not even saying what you are here to us then yeah, she’s being rude and IMO overly sensitive about someone not liking what she does. Maybe steer clear of shipping talk for a bit unless you feel comfortable enough to broach that it bothers you, but without knowing you both I’m not going suggest that as a ‘do it’ option and simply skirting the topic might be better. I’m sorry you aren’t having fun talking ships with your friend OP.
