This description only makes me further divided on whether to buy this game (the trailer looked so fun)! Though I guess I’d prefer brainless (especially brainlessly optimistic) way over edgy…

My big problem with him, at least up to the point I got to, is that he hates to admit fault or weakness. He’ll fuck up, and then he’ll say anything other than an apology for fucking up, and he won’t acknowledge it enough to avoid fucking up again later. There’s some stuff about how he uses fake confidence as a veil for his sense of inadequacy, implied to be related to why he couldn’t use his right arm, but it feels like too little too late.
