I'm not convinced the people making those posts know the difference either.

If I had to make something up on the spot, I'd say "accountability" would be satisfied if the developer patched the game to replace the racist content with a different and non-racist thing, where "ruin" wouldn't be satisfied by anything ever. But I don't really know if anyone's thinking in terms like that.

Star Trek Picard made Jean Luc a deadbeat dad (kinda twice, there was this one episode where he is a maybe dad thanks to space hijinks); Kirk, obviously, in Wrath of Khan; Sisko, as covered yesterday with the finale of his show having him leave Kassidy pregnant while he left to join the Prophets on another plane of existence; and, as you mentioned, Janeway's newtbabies. Also Worf with Alexander, if we count Worf among the Captains since he did get to captain the Defiant regularly, so maybe five times now?

Agreed. There are character endings for redeemed villains inbetween 'happily ever after' and 'redemptive death' but writers don't seem to realise they can do that.

Can't do no crossovers for this. Most people tag shit like marvel, marvel cinematic universe, spider-man, etc.

I've found the best options is just to exclude all the big crossover fandoms that might come up.

I started following a personal rule years ago to not watch any tv shows until they are absolutely over and done with (and haven't been completed ruined by the ending, like GoT, BS5, Lost, etc etc). I've been burned way too many times.

After the Marvel clusterfuck, I'm thinking of adding movie series to that rule too.
