I wish people would acknowledge myths as written by man. Nobody looks at the Christian g-d and says “hey I think that guy’s evil he drowned a whole civilisation except for these people just because they didn’t follow him correctly”. Myths are written by humans who are falliable and by men in particular (Homer, Hesiod).

Tell me you don't know any atheists without telling me you don't know any atheists, LOL.

(I'm an atheist.)

I meant other Christians don’t. I know atheists exist. The amount of Hellenic polytheists I’ve seen actively avoiding Zeus and Poseidon because of their myths is astounding.

NAYRT but I have seen those too. Methinks if you're refusing to recognize major gods because they're ~*~problematic~*~, you're not as Hellenic as you think, but that's just my opinion.

Modern christians, no. They all got killed early on.

(Anonymous) 2023-03-18 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, that's me, I am the person saying that. (Mostly only to other atheists, though.) Except it's less, "God is clearly evil," and more, "The dude is the most malignant possible manifestation of about six different personality disorders, mixed and then blended until frothy."

But 'evil' works as shorthand, in a pinch.

You haven't learned about the gnostic christians in the first century CE, have you?

You never learned to say a non-shit thing in your life, have you?

You are an absolutely wet sock of a person. :)

OP

Every JRPG would like a word with you, but especially Shin Megami Tensei.

I mean, we know that Paul Winchell wrote two books and had a website about it because Paul Winchell was a celebrity. It would would be reasonable to assume that non-famous people hold similar beliefs.
