Every time I hear this song I always think of it as the POV as, like, a powerful vampire whose "love interested"/favorite victim managed to escape. So yeah, threatening stalker vibes.

I think that's pretty obviously what it's about. I mean, the title is a hint, no? And "you crossed a bridge that I can't follow?" It's about grief, not stalking.
