Re: Fast Food

Okay, I've been curious about something for a while now and I'm hoping maybe you can help me: What are McDonald's McNuggets like in the US? Do you feel like they're genuinely chicken? Or do they taste like they're one third chicken, one third soy, and one third breading?

The reason I'm asking is because I live in Canada, and I find McNuggets massively superior to the chicken nuggets at Burger King (which definitely taste like they're 50% chicken at most). However, McNuggets here are expensive. I'm pretty sure ten of them is $8. By contrast, the cost of McNuggets in the US is INSANELY low. Which has made me extremely curious whether US McNuggets are the same as Canadian McNuggets? Because even accounting for economy of scale, I cannot fathom how McNuggets in the US could cost what they do unless they're like 50% wheat/soy/etc.

I'd say one fifth breading, one fifth very low-rent chicken, one quarter salt and the rest grease. They're gross. Never had the Canadian ones.

Ah, okay, that's kind of as I suspected. Booooo, McDonalds, booo. Thanks for answering!
