I'd wanted to sew for ages and ended up starting about three years ago as a quarantine project, and I'm still loving it. It definitely takes some work and can get frustrating with everything you have to do *before* you can actually Sew The Thing, but at the same time there's nothing more satisfying than getting a compliment on something you made yourself. I'm not at a level yet to make everything I imagine but I can make a lot of things I love and I'm always learning. I hope you give it a try and enjoy it too!

OP here.

I have crocheted several fingerless texting gloves, which have garnered a pleasant amount of compliments. So, I can personally attest that what you say about getting flattery over one's crafting abilities is very true.

It's extremely gratifying.
