You have access to fs, you have access to google.

And some people like to have conversations and don't feel the need to Google everything or risk offending somebody else.

DA
It wasn’t an attempt to have a conversation tho. It was literally “how is this fandom?” Which is also a way of calling out NFS. And all the clues for how it was fandom were in the secret and the thread. That was the last direct reply to that secret and it was over 12 hours after the post went up, about 6 hours after the posts go inactive except for maybe one or two replies.
I feel for anyone who lives someplace where the posts go up at bad times like middle of the workday or middle of the night. I’ve lived in five different time zones since I first found FS; I KNOW how frustrating it is if you don’t live in exactly the right spot and have exactly the right work/school/home schedule. But I also know for anyone in that situation they KNOW they’re unlikely to get any engagement.
The response was over the top but it’s still ridiculous that the secret’s legitimacy was questioned OR that the person needed it explained to them.

It's cool if a person doesn't want to Google anything, even very simple queries like "Who is Pterry" or "Vimes socio economic theory of boots". But then that person should expect to be treated like an ignorant person who is too lazy to Google simple questions, but still wants to point fingers at people who actually know what they're talking about.

Wow, you're so much more cultured and totally smarter and know so much more about the world and internet culture. You can draw up good conclusions without having to ask. Unlike these dumb fucking idiots going out and asking questions.
Is that what you want to hear?

Should I be Googling the answer to that question? Read up on all the comments in this thread to find my answers?
I'm so fucking sorry that the rest of us just don't approach the world the same exact ways you do and it pisses you off that you have to remind us idiots that we can draw up our own conclusions without asking questions because you do it all the time. Why even ask questions? Why even talk to people unless you know with absolute certainty how the whole conversation will play out lest I say something so fucking stupid you have to make a passive aggressive asshole comment to teach me how to not be a fucking idiot?

NAYRT

I mean look, I agree with you that "just google it" is a slightly annoying and stupid thing to say, but people have been saying it on the Internet for 20 years and they're not gonna stop so it's probably not worth caring about it when it happens
