There was the Red Notice movie with Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot. It did a bunch of call backs to a lot of stuff including Indy, had a very campy buddy comedy action feel to it. I think it needs a sequel to get the Dwayne and Gal characters to live up to their potential. The plot relied heavily on Ryan Reynolds being... Ryan Reynolds.

Ryan Reynolds likes to make whacky movies.

I think I’d class Red Notice more as a heist film tbh. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely loved it and would 100% watch a sequel, but it doesn’t have that same kind of adventure feel to me.
Also: I like Ryan Reynolds but he was easily the most annoying part of that movie. And you’re right about the whacky movies, which is a shame because when he dials it back the movies tend to be much better. Adam (or maybe it was called Adam Project?) was good but would have been better if he’d toned the Deadpool schtick down even more.

You had me interested up until this point. I feel like Reynolds is good in moderation, but I don't always enjoy movies where actors are playing exaggerated versions of themselves.
