Re: What was the most surprising or upsetting character death for you in media?

Tony Stark dying wasn't remotely surprising, but it's the character death that upsets me most. I'm not even mad about it the way a lot of people are; it was fitting enough for his character. I'm just really sad about it. I mean, right from the beginning it felt like Tony had staked his own life on an unwinnable fight, and every moment after that felt like postponing the inevitable. Which makes his death incredibly tragic, to me, because it solidifies that sense of inevitability. Being Iron Man was a fatal condition; it was only ever a question of how long.
