In my opinion, they do a good job at sharing screen time with the others. I agree though that I'm interested in everyone else's story more.

Where I miss LJ because I miss a time when people had discussions, not just memes. Not to mention all the fun non-fandom chat I had with people of like minds who just happened to be in the same fandom. I miss that more than the fandom activity itself, tbh.

Tumblr is so broken at this point as far as its search engine is concerned that I've given up on it. But yeah, it used to be awesome.

I do think tumblr has its strong suits, and maybe its biggest strong suit, IMO, is humor. Both memes and just, like, fucking hilarious comment chains. Tumblr is extremely funny, because the basic functionality of the platform makes humor collaborative. It's like the evolutionary process, but for humor: survival of the funniest.

I really like tumblr for that.

It's also a really great tool for getting exposure. As someone who is absolute garbage at social networking and promoting my stuff, I get way, way more engagement with my content because of tumblr, which of course feels really good.

But when it comes to actual social connection with other fans, and just sharing our thoughts and opinions about things, that's where I find tumblr horribly lacking.

That's true, LJ didn't have that and I'd miss it if it was gone.

I prefer Tumblr, but that's because my fandom is most active on there and I had the most fun on there.

The episode where everyone was talking to her 'ghost' was a bit weird. Not bad, but still weird.

For me it was more how the show changed after she left/Ziva arrived. Instead of just a Navy cop show, suddenly it became all about international intrigue and spy stuff. It got worse the longer it went on. And yeah, the dynamic of the team changed a lot as well

How everyone reacted was the only hint of emotion I felt about it tbh. Fandom then (and for at least another ten years) we’re up in arms about it, she was the best character ever, yadda yadda. I never understood it tbh, she just didn’t seem to have much charisma to me. Her character was pretty average but used as a foil against Agent Cartoon and as annoying as he was, her position opposite him just made her more unlikeable for me even though I disliked Dinozzo.
I’ll be honest that I loved Ziva and forget sometimes Todd ever existed. Ziva was more complex and easier to see identifiable traits.
