What is grinding your gears?

Does anyone think that resealable packaging is worse now? I swear things just don't reseal as well. Also, they don't tear open as easy. I am always having to grab a pair of scissors for stuff that would just tear open back in the day.

Dallas drivers. Then again, I'm often annoyed at them. Today it was morons who refused to wait to go through the light even though the lane in front of them was completely full. So they ended up blocking the intersection so when it was my turn to go, I couldn't.

And the many, many people who run red lights and mean you have to wait to go at a green lights. Bad enough when they race through when it is yellow and they should have slowed and stopped. But a lot of them even continue through after it has already turned red before they even enter the intersection.

I gotta ask my sister about that one, she lives there.

I grew up in Oklahoma and thought Texas drivers were the worst until I drove in L.A.

As mentioned in the above thread, the third-party stuff my employer purchased and thus I and my department are forced to use. One of them is so bug-riddled and with so many limitations I don't even understand how it's a paid service when it shouldn't be out of beta yet. It's promising but AUGH.

It *was* grinding my gears for the past year but I'm already growing numb to how truly ubiquitous AI art has become and in such a short time. My friend showed me a bunch of it today she'd found during her daily scrolling and while these AI generated cats were very cute, it's still like... goddamn it.

The slowness of the US Justice System to just arrest a certain person already!

Psychology Instagram (even though I do enjoy a good fight in the comments sections of some of the posts)

this. my best friend jokingly called me Wolverine because of my losing patience and ripping stuff open. And they never caught the Tylenol poisoner either.

Probably not the kind of thing you were thinking of, but...

One half of the ship I'm currently obsessing over is supposed to get a new love interest soon, and the other's actor is currently busy with other projects and no one seems to know when he'll be back. It was never going to happen to begin with because both are ostensibly straight men, but at least without canon female love interests I could pretend lol.

I feel your pain. It sucks when you start out with a ship that could so easily be canon if the writers were so inclined, and then over time more and more barriers get constructed which disrupt that reading, and leave you thinking back sadly on the glory days when your ship was able to exist comfortably unobstructed. :/

I was just thinking that a few days ago.

Being blamed for not doing someone else's job. Long story short, I do job A. I am not a project manager, I do not liaise, I just do job A. We need a process improvement from IT. Project manager submits to IT. IT asks for spreadsheets. I send spreadsheets. They give me new program to QA. I QA; it returns bad results. I explain why it's returning bad results. They tell me I should have told them that earlier. No one ever asked to see the process or if I could think of any other things they might need to know, they just wanted spreadsheets. Why was it my job to tell them what they needed to do theirs?

Honestly, instant messaging. All my friends messaging me with questions all the time that they can google or use their own judgment on, but for some reason I'm the life skills expert and they just need my advice in particular about what exact word to use in a work email.

It's not just you re: resealable packaging. I keep getting stuff where there's no happy medium between "so flimsy it won't reseal" and "so tough the ziploc part won't UNseal and if I force it I just end up ripping the bag open and the ziploc detaches from the bag and is now useless". Just....arrrghhh!

Microsoft Teams, which won't let me join the meeting I'm supposed to be in right now. Every time I try to join, it tells me to install the Teams app. Which is already installed! (And uninstalled and reinstalled, twice in the last hour.)

The stupid weather. I know, climate change and all. But I just resent not having proper seasons and having to worry about stupid bugs from the late fall through the early spring. Already saw 3 roaches this year, and they were not small ones. Just caught a small moth a few minutes ago. I haven't been outside of my home today.

I've griped about this before but clothes. Nothing fits. No nice designs. Clothes are priced at ridiculous rates. I have a thing with prioritizing comfort. But want to look cute too!!! Clothes should just keep us warm and protect us from the elements as well as be comfortable. But y'all...I also like expressing art and using dressing up as a theatre dress up of sorts.
And the gatekeeping in the fashion industry is ridiculous! Racist and classist!
