The dung eater (the guy pictured) is based on the kappa in Japanese folklore. Google shirikodama. Or don’t lol. But that’s showed up before in a FromSoft game (Headless in Sekiro).

I don’t think there’s much going on with Saint Trina. Miquella is young and a pretty boy and people confuse his sex/gender. Perhaps the upcoming dlc will shed some more light on him.

I have no opinion on Fia though. I think she’s wack and her ending is one of the worst.

Aww, I loved her and her ending. She was one of the most interesting NPCs for me.

She was interesting for sure. All the NPCs are for the most part. I just think she’s super crazy and her ending is bad for the Lands Between. That said, chaos taking the world is the most interesting ending to me and Fia’s ending is arguably less bad than that lol.

Yeah, the gender stuff isn't exactly new in their games, best example is Gwyndolin. His gender has been hotly debated in the fandom for a while.

I came into the series at DS3 and definitely thought the half digested corpse of Gwyndolin was a very pretty lady when I fought Aldrich.
