the midpoint years for millenials are 1988 and 1989; the median millenial turned 30 in 2018 or 2019, and most millenials are 35 or under. only the very oldest millenials are approaching their 40s. there are still under-30 millenials. and it seems to me that - in general - people don't really think about the unpleasantness of aging in their late teens or early 20s. not even in their mid 20s necessarily.

and also, it's the millenials who would be most likely to be up in their feels about the vintage MCU Avengers in the first place, not the gen Z.

However you want to sell your bullshit to yourself is fine.

lmao

bruh

1981 is millennial. If you are speaking of the eldest of the bunch, you are looking at people already IN their 40s, not simply approaching them.

You feel the damn effects of aging if you aren't taking care of yourself as well as you could (for whatever reason that may be).

Sure but I stand by my broader point? Most millenials are 35 or under, and there are still a lot of millenials under 30.

Nayrt

The oldest Millennials are already OVER 40.

I get that under-30 Millennials (a rapidly vanishing demographic) would feel differently. I was born at the tail end of Gen X and when the eldest of that generation hit middle age in the 2000s I was only in my 20s and didn't give a shit about their angst.

AYRT

I should have said "approaching or over 40" to be more correct, but I don't think the statement was really wrong otherwise.

Bruh, chill.

As a mid-GenX, I I think it's weird seeing younger gens angsting over turning 30. Which is not in any way old.

It's an interesting look at how society values youth, from the viewpoint of a middle-aged person.

And also those shitty incel guys who act like women are over the hill when they are clearly not. (Not that any of you want those fucking loser guys anyway.)

Dunno. I would think that Gen Z would actually start dealing with the realities of aging now since a decent percentage of them have parents who waited to have kids (and some are witnessing their parents being caretakers for their grandparents). From what I've heard my Gen X friends say, Gen Z is getting earlier everyday exposure to the effects of aging.
