This actually makes me want to check out the series. I didn’t keep up with MCU but I’m aware of most of the big events and can always Google for any gaps. Clint seemed like such an interesting character and I was fascinated by his domestic life, which I only saw one little bit of in the last MCU movie I saw, which was whichever one where they go to his house the first time and you meet his wife.

Do give it a chance. I didn’t really care about MCU Clint because he was so underused but Hawkeye is actually my fave series. Everyone gives great performances and I really liked the Clint/Kate dynamic. It’s fun and also has a lot of heart.

Yeah, his wife and kids aren't super actively involved in the show, but they have a substantial presence in it, and are pretty well written IMO. Also, I don't want to spoil so I'll be vague here and just say that (to my recollection) the writing avoided a lot of the annoying tropes that tend to come with "man-of-action has family" storylines.

Based on your comment, I think there is a very decent chance you may be pleasantly surprised by the show. I definitely was. I had zero interest in it beforehand, and it ended up being my favorite of the MCU shows. I wouldn't necessarily say the show blew my mind or anything like that, but I was definitely pleasantly surprised--enough that I'll probably watch it again next Christmas ('cause it takes place around Christmas time).
