I blocked 'bts' and 'trans' because I got tired of hearing about them constantly. (I'm not trans and I don't like Asian- or any other- boy bands.) Then I had to unblock 'trans' because it was blocking things that had nothing to do with it. WEIRD.

Trans is occasionally a prefix, that's what might be the problem. Otherwise, there might be a bug in your word blocker.

Same anon- that is what's weird because I would open up the filtered posts and several of them wouldn't have any trans-prefix words in them (transitional, transmogrify, etc.). Either Tumblr has a bug or my computer has a bug that can't be removed thanks to idiotic trolls.

Tumblr has periodic ugly bugs. Try updating your app or whatever.

Tumblr also has lists of known issues accessible through the Tumblr Help blogs.

I blocked y/n and occasionally there are blocked post with day/night text. Or nothing at all but someone tagged it down the line and I've got randomly blocked posts.
And I can't block fucking reader fics because reader is normal word. I use it. Regularly

Same. All links to AO3 get blocked along with it but it's worth it.
