(Anonymous) 2023-04-06 08:27 am (UTC)(link)I actually started reading fic in the 90s with the X-Files. And I've read fic for NCIS, CSI, Hawaii Five-0, The Magnificent Seven (yeah, it's actually more of a Western, but there are a lot of fics set in a modern ATF AU a fic author came up with), Psych, Without a Trace, and Due South among the many others, so it's not the procedural thing for me. Sometimes, for whatever reason, while I will watch and like a show, I just won't engage with the fic, but I'm not really sure why. Just didn't really go for the fic when I watched shows like Elementary, The Good Wife, Grey's Anatomy, Law & Order, Chicago Hope, Ally McBeal, ER, and most sit-coms, among others. I feel like there are a few that I went looking for fic for, but didn't find much or just not anything to my taste and gave up and never really went looking again.
