Was gonna say. I dated a Jewish guy for a while and he and his friends wholeheartedly condemned Israel's actions.

Ever consider that you and the society around you were already roundly condemning Israel and he made a point of doing the same for his own safety? I have.

Depends on the society. Several Red States have tried to make it illegal to boycott Israeli goods. They support the state of Israel not because they respect and support Jewish people, but because it's a sign of Jesus' return. Also they hate Muslims.
