After getting too many super-small glass slivers stuck in my feet even while wearing socks (thanks, tile floors in Florida!), I much prefer wearing shoes with reasonably thick soles inside. Plus it reduces my plantar fasciitis.

The fuuuuuuuuuuck...

I feel you about fasciit though. Not going to wear fucking shoes in a house though, it's just so damn uncomfortable and dirty. Why. The fuck why.

Since I live in a condo, I actually have multiple opportunities to clean my shoes on mats (once before I enter the common lobby and another at my specific unit). Plus with mostly laminate floors vaccuming is super easy.

Same! It's gotten to the point where even walking a few steps without shoes has my feet hurting 10x worse for the rest of the day.
