Yeah, but gacha stuff hits a horrible (or perfect, if you're the one making money off it) balance between fandom and gameplay and lots and lots of $$$. If you don't get your blorbo/waifu NOW NOW NOW they're gone forever! If you don't get this character NOW NOW NOW you'll never get through this quest! Emotions are deliberately heightened just like in a casino to make people spend money, so it's no surprise that there's a hangover coming when the makers have wrung one character dry and move onto the next.

except that literally is never true so i don't get why people think that. if you miss a character on one banner, you just wait until they come back around again on another banner. i missed one character i wanted on their first banner because i didn't have enough to pity them, so i just waited for them to come up again and by that time i did have enough to guarantee a pity but ended up not even needing it.

Meanwhile I'm here playing CRK and the default gacha has literally every blorbo on it except the latest (who of course get their own special gacha[s]), so there's zero chance of missing a character if they're not limited-time event stuff. (I do wish I'd been around for the Sonic event, but oh well, it's not like they're good.)
