I'm probably the same age range as OP and we never had cable, so I didn't see any of the movies mentioned.

I LOVED Cocaine Bear. Mostly because I enjoy any creative endeavor where the people making it understand that not everything has to be high art, and sometimes silly spectacle or outrageous-to-the-point-of-hilarity violence can produce amusement and dare I say joy in the viewer. And who's to say that's any less important than sending the viewer down some long philosophical road upon which they question everything and audit their morality?

Sometimes you need a movie about dealing with poverty and ethical standards. Sometimes you need a movie about a bear that eats a shit-ton of cocaine. IME it's a lot harder to find the second.
