I was thinking about what I would tell my younger self, and I realized that I would have to lie to them. Things don’t get better. You don’t end up a success or even fully independent. You have no friends and your job sucks the life out of you. And I’m a terrible liar. I don’t know what 20-year-old me would think if they met me now, but it wouldn’t be good. They might like my haircut, though. Maybe.

I feel this, too. I'm sorry you're going through it also. I don't want to go into it much because I'll really bring myself down if I start talking about it, but you're not alone in feeling this way.

Sorry you're going through that, and hope it gets better. I can relate mostly... I was hoping I'd be much less of a coward now in life, lol. 20 y.o. me would be horrified at my balding crown and back/digestion issues. I'd probably tell them to quit sitting so damn much and be serious about pursuing something they like. And cut out toxic assholes much sooner.
