Yeah. She's been slowly coming around because other people (among them an old friend of hers with a son very similar in behaviour and history as my brother) told her I was in fact not the guilty party but she is a person who is very set in her opinion (and also never apologises if she was in the wrong). She basically operates under the "the person who gets physical first is always the one at fault" assumption. I did ask her if I should have waited for him so punch me first to which her only comment was "you don't know that he would have hit you if you hadn't started it" and like... damn it woman, I love you but that is not how self-defense under threat of bodily harm works.
