on one hand, there were batshit parts of fandom I didn't want to engage with in 2005, I can't imagine how much worse it is now when people will get scolded for shipping Goku with anyone.

on the other hand, ffs Minekura by now you know the entire world only cares about finishing Saikyuki, don't draw anything else.

Hey, it's been a while for me too, but last I saw they were still well invested! Like, Bus Gamer was a fav of mine for a long time. I bought a random manga while abroad some time ago (which I know is the problem-- but stil!!) and they had features of those characters despite them not being in circulation for like a decade or two!
I always worry about authors health too, tbh. (i literally cried back when CLAMP got into that car accident) But for some reason I feel like Saiyuki and other manga by this artist will be honoured in some way. They give me a good feeling I guess! Hopefully that helps at all!

I feel this, but particularly with figurines. Like I do not want a million ugly Funko Pops, I want a figurine of the characters to look like the actual characters. I'm aware it's cheaper to make a base model and alter it to look like a character the way Funko does, but I just don't like 'em.
