Which is which? I'd say both are okay, except that one is really terrible in RL.

Ken is very quick, and so is good with being able to say something interesting to every contestant and sometimes very unexpected answers. mayim is really good with kids imo and it was fun that she actually knew the celebrities on celebrity jeopardy. but like...there isn't much to the job beyond that and i don't know why people pretend their is lol.

OP

I think a lot of it has to do with the notion that Jeopardy is seen as a thinking person's game show. Some viewers like to see the host's display a more cerebral attitude. This includes a drier wit and more gravitas in their posture.

(Personally, I'm actually not at all happy that Mayim has any hosting work given her history of antivaxx statements. For a show that involves some level of quick logical processing to reach the right answer, her stance feels antithetical to the show.)

JFC her stance is vaccinate but also research what your vaccine is. She has said publicly many times that her family is vaccinated. Since when is wanting to know what you're putting in your body a sign of idiocy?

AYRT

When you use that as a justification for supporting chemophobic statements such as disregarding ingredients you can't pronounce. Mayim's position emboldens a lot of people that celebrate chemophobic stances.

i promise you that as a neuroscientist she a) already knows, has known the whole time, including the history of how people construct vaccines and how they get governmental approval, and was parroting the main anti-vaccine pubic statement of the day and b) knows that none of the general populace has the scientific wherewithal to make an informed decision. Both of those together mean that she's full of shit but trying to be non-controversial about it
