- no dead bodies or carnage on screen
- all witness/survivor accounts are narrated by the guy himself
- no dramatic sound effects or jump scares and the like
- overall he just seems genuinely respectful of the lives lost and human impact of these disasters. oftentimes he'll wrap up with a mention of some memorial plaque (or equivalent commemorative landmark) for the those who lost their lives, which i think is a thoughtful touch
