The slayers being a pseudo-millitary organisation and Xander being in charge sticks in my mind, in a bad way. They really milked "I was army guy on Halloween once" way too hard.
Yeah, I'd delete the comics from my brain if I could.

Yeah, there was a time when I probably would've found it cool that the writers found a way to give Xander something relevant and important to do so he didn't feel totally extraneous. But that was when I was a teenager and hadn't realized that he...kind of sucks. Present me finds the narrative decision to put him in charge of a bunch of super-powered young women on the flimsiest of pretexts to be eye-roll worthy at best.
