https://visitukraine.today/blog/102/exceptions-when-a-man-can-leave-ukraine-under-martial-law
can't leave the country
2 min search.
Is it that hard to type 'ukraine how leave if i'm a man'? 'Ex french president prank'? I'm not selling online courses here so why should I spoon feed everything when the other guy sounds like a flat earther? They won't even bother following the links I'm 100% sure.

(Anonymous) 2023-04-22 02:21 pm (UTC)(link)You may think they sound like a flat earther, but just because they might or might not believe links you provide doesn’t mean they’re also a flat earther. Especially because nobody mentioned anything related to it before you randomly brought it up.

(Anonymous) 2023-04-22 02:29 pm (UTC)(link)And for clarification, I have read the links you provided, and I see no evidence against them. So I’m not saying you’re wrong. Just that you probably should have provided the links sooner when the two anons above responded to you. It’s not “spoonfeeding”, it’s doing your due diligence, when making a claim you have to back it up. Unless you don’t care if people believe you, which you clearly do. If the Google search was that quick, you have no reason to complain about time being wasted. If it was just 2 minutes, and you know how easy it was to find the links, why are you complaining and calling anyone lazy when it was on you to do it, and you did it in only 2 minutes. Your question of:
“2 min search.
Is it that hard to type 'ukraine how leave if i'm a man'? 'Ex french president prank'?” is one you should be asking yourself before you ask it anyone else. It just makes you look hypocritical to complain about others when you’re just as guilty of the things you’re complaining about, if not more considering you had the burden of evidence.

I wish more people understood this point. I ask for links in a lot of online spaces, and it's because I want to see people do their due diligence. If they're not willing to provide links (especially at the outset), I'm going to at least be a bit more suspicious about their intent.

(Anonymous) 2023-04-22 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)To be fair to this user, because the AYRT could be acting in good faith (while still being rude, mind you) and I have no idea where you come from, in my country the news talked about the "no man can leave Ukraine" law for a looong time. So basically everyone who even vaguely look at the news know about that.
I've also heard about the ex French president stuff (that yeah, people already suspected) from the news even recently. Not as extensively as the martial law, but still. It's not something really secret and conspiracy looking. It's on the regular news here and it has been corroborated.
So if I were to cite those news I'd probably not link any site at first, too, because I'd act under the impression that those stories are well known, or at least vaguely known, by the large public.
(I don't like that this user cited these events to say that, and I quote them [Ukraine is not a democracy. It has a dictator at the helm currently (...)] but they are entitled their ideas. My point is: I knew exactly what they were talking about even without those links. And I'm NOT super into news lately. So I think them not sharing a link at first and even acting a little bit defensive is justified.)

(Anonymous) 2023-04-22 05:24 pm (UTC)(link)The fact of the matter is that Zelenskyy is not a dictator and 2014 was not in any way a coup, and these are absolutely pernicious lies intended to sap public support for a country that is the victim of an unprovoked and murderous act of aggression by its larger neighbor. And Jimmy Dore's a piece of shit as well.

(Anonymous) 2023-04-22 06:13 pm (UTC)(link)I was just pointing out that dismissing the existence of the martial law as a lie (a term used by an anon above) because the OP didn't provide a link is kind of disingenuos in its own way, since TO ME (and maybe OP, who knows) it's a widely known fact. I too, in their position, would not share a link to prove it's a true fact, because to me it's common knowledge.
The fact that Ukraine is under a dictatorship is a lie, but the existence of the martial law is not, link or not.
OP is an arsehole, but the anons replying to them devolved the whole conversation with demanding links to what I believe is something everyone should know by now. If you have to fend off trolls (and OP is probably one) then you either ignore them or you combat them with good posting. Not... that.

(Anonymous) 2023-04-22 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)I do not see how Zelensky is not a dictator as he was 'elected' by the politicians orchestrating the coup and not by the people. I'm not that into politics but this is, sorry to repeat myself, are the well known facts.
Let my peoplpe gooo. Poor bastards unlucky to be born with dicks under Zelenski very democratic rule.

(Anonymous) 2023-04-23 02:59 pm (UTC)(link)I'm so late for this thread, but still, a few things:
The pranksters (Vovan and Lexus, Russians suspected to be pro-Kremlin) were posing as Petro Poroshenko, not Zelensky. Poroshenko was the President of Ukraine from 2014-2019, Zelensky has been the president only from 2019 onwards. Both were elected by democratic election. The coup/revolution(/whatever you call it in English), however messy, was fuelled by the people and their true discontentment with corruption, unhealthily pro-Russian government and president Janutskovyts. Actually, the whole thing was something the secret poster apparently thinks the Russian people should do too.
It's true that Ukranian men cannot leave the country. I also think it's not wise to view Zelensky as some kind of perfect, flawless hero. That's only going to cause disappointments in the long run. But considering that Ukraine is fighting practically alone for its very existence against much larger aggressor, can you blame them? They need every single man. Personally, as someone whose country has once been in very similar situation as Ukraine, I understand why they would take such extreme measures during wartime. But if Zelensky holds on to this amount of power after the war and the martial law are over, then I give you, he's a dictator or at least on his way to become one.
And if we go back to the prankster case, I suggest that when you come across these kind of claims, especially in the corners of YouTube or social media, you look up other sources as well. Here's one: https://www.euronews.com/2023/04/11/russian-pranksters-posing-as-ukraines-ex-leader-call-former-french-president-francois-holl (tl;dr: Hollande doesn't deny what happened, but the meaning of his words was distorted (likely for Russian propaganda, imo))
Kremlin is very big on cyberwar and propaganda, and these pranksters and other Russian trolls are part of it. Putin wants you to think that "West" is behind everything, that "West" orchestrated a coup in Ukraine and that "West" is the "real" aggressor, so he can justify the attack on Ukraine. This is the narrative he wants to spread, not only for Russians but for everywhere else too. And these YouTube conspiracists, who swallow anything just for the sake of juicy conspiracy, are his useful idiots. I hope everyone keeps that in mind.

(Anonymous) 2023-04-23 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)I followed yopu link. So Hollande admits he really said all that and that none of his voice lines were faked. Nice. I mean what more do you need? He said 'coup'. He said weapons went to Ukraine ready to be used. Idk what is this Euronews site but they're supporting everything I said despite the manipulative terms and rethoric.
Propaganda goes both ways. Any and all propaganda is bad.
