I have a similar problem - I think my fics are fucking great but they're all unfinished. So I have to put up with my own wips that will never be completed >:(

Me, when rereading my own 100k+ words incomplete WIPs: who *the heck* is this binch who never completes their stories--- Oh, yeah. Ooops.

I realized in my late teens that I was never going to be a decent fiction writer. That said, I've kept my notebooks with my stories, and no matter how crappy I know they are, if I randomly pick one up I'll be engrossed for hours.

I've published fics and I also have drawer fics I know I'll never post. I consider my drawer fics super self indulgent but I believe I free myself to be way more creative so I tend to be surprised by how much I'm enjoying the fic when I read my drawer fics after time away.

Do you OP. What you created was what you wanted and it's great that you create things that you want. I think writing is a personal endeavor, share what you want or don't.

Moreover, sometimes there's just no satisfaction quite like rereading my own fic. It's fun! It has everything I like! Again! Again!

I can understand that. I was reading one of my own fics yesterday, and thought: Hm, this could be better written... But it had the things I like in it and none of the things that really annoy me when I'm reading, so... yeah.

I feel this. As a writer, I think my fics are decent but definitely have room for improvement. But when I put my reader hat on, goddamn my fics are basically perfect lmao
