Sorry but disagree.
Thinking that fictional animal cruelty is funny has everything to do with OPs attitude towards animals- cats in particular, in real life.
OP specifically signalled out cruelty to cats as being fine to laugh at.

I'll point out, OP maker of this secret, that there are far more memes/internet videos etc of cats than dogs on the net, which shows people really do love their kitties! (Not to compare cats and dogs as you are. Both are great!)

I would also consider OP what others have already written, that cats are usually associated with the feminine, while dogs with the masculine, so when you're laughing at a cat being kicked, consider the symbolism.

I'm currently glad my kitty is in with me safe from people like OP.
